Well, there were some of those, I think, but also, like, 3D planets hanging down. Maybe it's supposed to be a play on "world domination"?

The only thing that I probably "get" here is stuff like the cuffs, but in a different context. [ law enforcement, yo. ]

[ speaking of, he licks a bit of cream residue off the rim of the mug. i do not need to use that icon for this tag but 1) i went to the trouble of coloring it so it's making an appearance somewhere, and 2) please know that he is, much like the mangaka, being needlessly horny about it. ]

Ah, yes, I suppose you're probably pretty familiar with those. You've never used them outside of a professional context, though?

I know in theory why they cover the metal on these things-- but it's always with something like this, huh?

As opposed to what? Cotton calico?

You could literally put anything around them. Even cotton calico.

I imagine the main concerns when making these things are durability and comfort. A novelty cotton print isn't going to be too helpful for the former.

Though if that's really what you want, I'm sure I can scrounge up an old quilt for you. Very sexy.

Pretty sure it's what you do with them, not what they're wrapped in that decides that last part.

On the contrary, that's one of the big selling points of the furry and fur-lined ones! Padding and soft material do make a difference.

[ going from pure yakety sax to a serious conversation about handcuff padding material just gave me whiplash. ]

Even in glow in the dark fabric. I mean I get it but-- leather's not going be kind in comparison.

Well, it still is compared to the hard edges of bare metal! Anyway, it's become so intertwined with this whole scene in the collective consciousness that plenty of people just consider it sexy on its own now.

Again— I work with them. I’d be in a real awkward position if my work equipment was turning me on all the time.

I meant the material. I can't imagine you'd really choose to look at a woman in a calico dress over one in a tight leather getup.
