[ well! presumably tuuri's looking (justifiably) unhappy somewhere, and whenever mephisto spots her, he'll come over with a smile that could almost pass for sympathetic if you didn't know better. ]
Have you ever seen things get calmer as a deadline approaches?
Besides, at the beginning, the image of the killer in everyone's minds was vague and faceless, someone no one had any qualms about condemning. Naturally tensions would rise when names finally started getting thrown around.
We definitely did not, but that boy got his head stuck in the jail bars in his first hour here. I don't think you should be looking at him as a bellwether.
[ hsjgkdlf i hope she just thought of it specifically as the sheep bell and not as what people actually use it to mean today ]
To whom?
[ shakes his head ]
In any event, feet aside, I think it went about as well as it could have. If you're going to lament something it should be the murder itself, not the path we took to learn the truth behind it.
(Though I'll add that it is in keeping with that big sister trope to be concerned about harmony!)
It's all well and good to announce your intentions, but without a plan of action behind them, they're only words. What is that you propose be done to prevent those additional deaths?
[Even though she does not like 'Mr. Faust' at all, she can at least recognize that he's right. Even if she doesn't like the outcome. And as much as she hates having to admit to being wrong when she's emotionally compromised, it's for the best that she rectifies things sooner than later.]
...you were right in the end. I should've listened.
[She pauses there though. Faust is devilishly smart. She's already been drawing some conclusions, so she's curious to see if he's reached the same conclusion yet.]
With the three cases so far, have you noticed anything strange?
[ me staring at this last night like maple i'm too tired to know what she's talking about and then waking up this morning and looking at it again like hm i guess i'm just dumb actually ]
Plenty.
[ the hilarious arm motif, curfew logistics, him miraculously never being a suspect, ]
...But if you're thinking of something specific, I'm afraid you'll have to narrow it down a bit more than that.
and ok COMING BACK HERE TO ADD STUFF AFTER ACTUALLY GOING BACK AND READING MORE OF LAST WEEK'S TRIAL FROM WHEN I WAS OUT help ]
...Yes, I think the forced sleep, the locked and then unlocked doors, and the seemingly deliberate awakenings pretty clearly point to some higher level intervention.
Each week, those who found themselves awake on Thursday nights seemed to have been specifically lured into their situations in one way or another. That seems especially evident now that we've done this with a set of people who had no intention of killing one another.

[ girl he's too busy being in pain and shocking himself every time he touches anything to have been paying that much attention to whatever she's got going on here
...but since she's said that, now he's looking at the torn-up pages. ]
[It seems like there's writing on the pages, with things arranged like one would arrange notes? But it's hard to see exactly what they're about with them all ripped up.]
It's alright, it was a lot of chaos in the end, and my memory is too faulty to rely on for deciding which bits of evidence were suspicious. It makes me wonder who wore that kigu, though.
week 0, post-trial
Long day, hm?

Tuuri, who does not know these things:]
It has been, yes. We started off alright, but everything fell apart by the end.
no subject
Oh? I wouldn't say that. At the start we didn't have any ideas, and by the end, we'd arrived at the correct conclusion.
Maybe what was falling apart was just your personal worldview?

[Yeah actually we jumped to feet-sniffing pretty darn fast, it's alarming.]

Going forward though, we can try to prevent further deaths.

[ he's usually right, and no one ever likes it. ]
I understand why you didn't want to, though. Most of them didn't.

I think someone else is influencing the killings that happened here.

Week 3, Friday
Tuuri can be found angrily ripping a few pages out of her notebook and tearing them up. She's not happy with that death announcement, nope.]
Don't say anything about it.

About what?

Well, if you say so!
Not happy about the announcement, I take it. Unless that's the thing I'm not supposed to mention.

anyway. lol. lmao. here's mephisto pretending he didn't just cause all this. ]
Well... that was regrettable.
[ sighs. ]
My apologies for not thinking to bring up those other pieces of evidence until it was too late.

That's certainly the question, isn't it. You really don't remember encountering anyone else awake that night at all?
no subject
The only thing I can offer is that everyone in our curfew was asleep when I woke up. Nobody else woke up with me.
no subject
That actually narrows it down quite a bit, given that the vast majority of us were split between those two rooms.
no subject
Who else was there, outside of our two groups?

You're handling this all quite gracefully.
