I mean... it was pretty clear she knew me. I figure there some medical benefit to letting people remember things naturally, rather than trying to force them to remember stuff. Maybe that's what she was doing?

Understanding the past — especially the not-so-fun things — is often critical to managing the present. You may not remember who you are, but that doesn't mean no one else will. And if the old you was a questionable character, I would think you'd be better off knowing what to prepare for.
If you were from my world, I could send you back temporarily to watch whatever happened back then from an outside perspective... but alas, I'm afraid your personal history is out of my reach as well.
They've had five years to catch up to me. If they were going to, they already would have. [ the irony of this is not lost on me, given his canon point. ] Or a better way of putting it might be -- I'm not actually sure what I could do about it anyway. Other than just adapt and deal with it.
