On one hand I can see with his history why he might have defaulted to being more casual about it than I was... but on the other, if you suddenly find yourself without the levels of power and knowledge that you'd usually have, you should be extra cautious to make sure you don't slip up and overestimate yourself.

At least we know now that they're still active on the other side of... whatever, so it's not hopeless so much as frustrating. Try not to take it too seriously, just don't make up any idiotic snake plots or anything either.
